[re]start

I haven’t blogged all year. I’ve been shying away from it because 1) I am a chronic procrastinator, and creating content for this blog is evidently Public Enemy No. 1, and 2) I had no idea what to write about. I guess both of those reasons carry exactly the same sentiment– whatever. The point is, no active posting. Last year, I really tried to create thoughtful, well-written posts. I started “archiving” old coursework into blogs in an effort to keep this blog ‘professional’. I had visions of pulling up my blog as an example in a job interview: “Oh, you’d like to see evidence of my incredible writing skill and digital presence? Have I got a TREAT for you!”. Alas, no such opportunity has arisen. And this blog has gotten boring.

Where is that blogger who wrote an impassioned and more than slightly biased #VeronicaMarsMovie review? I don’t know, too busy posting old stuff and hoping it looks neat to a potential employer, I guess. I’ve never been a consistent blogger (once again, Procrastination) but I hope that changes this year. Since I let nearly two full months slip by without posting anything at all, we’ll see how well that plays out. But I say ALL OF THAT to say this: I might not always know what I want to write about, but I sure as hell know I want to write. In lieu of this, I’m challenging myself to write a weekly blog for the entire month of March. Think of it as March Madness: Blog Edition. Weekly blogs might seem like a small start, but I often spend weeks trying to think of just one thing I can write about… so I think this will be more than sufficient to get me started. I have some ideas for potential Entertainment reviews (everyone needs my opinion on everything, obviously), but might delve even further into the blogger psyche and share personal thoughts as well. Who knows.

Peace sign emoji.
